Yael Wyte Program & Outreach Director Leeza’s Place at Olympia Medical Center ywyte@leezasplace.org
Yael Wyte began working with seniors during her last year at the University of Arizona in Tucson where she was earning her BS in Speech Pathology. During that time she took an independent study course that included working with adult stroke victims in various settings and instantly fell in love with the population.
While getting her MSW at USC she focused on Industrial Social Work, bringing social work into the workplace, and had a sub-concentration in gerontology. The combination of these two interests led her further into the world of caregiving with special emphasis upon how it effects working caregivers. Since then she has been extremely involved in recognizing caregiving issues in the workplace, and diligently stays abreast of the opportunities that exist within her community for the elderly population.
Yael's passion and commitment to helping caregivers has brought her to Leeza’s Place. We believe that her combined fervor and commitment to caregivers and the elderly community will be a wonderful asset to Leeza's Place at Olympia Medical Center.
