April 9, 2005 First Anniversary Celebration – Health First Leeza’s Place Melbourne, Florida Health First Leeza’s Place celebrated its First Anniversary on Saturday, April 9th with a celebration that included special guest of honor and co-founder of The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation, Leeza Gibbons. Joining Leeza on this “grand” day was Dr. Jamie Huysman, Executive Director of The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation, Suzanne Isa, the Foundation’s Director of Communications and Dr. Rosemary Laird, Medical Director of Health First Aging Institute, of which Leeza’s Place is a component. Over 100 well-wishers were treated to a delicious buffet, courtesy of Pfizer, Inc. and prepared by caterer, Barbara Ellis. Young, talented Harpist, Elizabeth White, played elegant music throughout the two-hour event and our gorgeous arrangements of spring flowers were donated by All City Florist. In addition to inspirational and congratulatory comments from Leeza Gibbons, Dr. Laird and Dr. Huysman, our very own Dick Erdlitz, Lee’s caregiver, gave a moving presentation to our guests which embodied the “heart” and “spirit” of all our caregivers and their loved ones. Sue Coates, Advocate Assistant, concluded our program by presenting Leeza with an anniversary “Thank You” present – a beautiful scrapbook portraying the first year of “Making Memories in Melbourne.”
