LMTV

Located within each Leeza's Place, Leeza's Memory Television will offer participants the opportunity to script, stage and record on video their family histories. Journaling, scrapbooking, stamping and photographs will all be used to create unique sets and scripts that reflect a family's story.

Journaling

Storytelling used in a unique manner to combat stress and help ease the illness process.

Scrapbooking

By building memories together families are given the chance to relive wonderful times. Hobbies that create self-esteem distract individuals from obsessive thoughts, allow friendships to occur, and serve as a mechanism for family cohesion.

Stamping

Expressing creativity helps us to find a space where we can withdraw from the outside world and then return rejuvenated. Stamping not only nurtures the individual spirit but also serves to connect with others who share the same interest.

Allied Arts Program

Art programs utilizing community experts and teachers to offer classes in drawing, painting, poetry and music as well as other allied arts used to help reduce stress and socially connect with others.

Support Groups

Representatives from the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, Alzheimer's Association, Parkinson's Disease Foundation, MS Society, American Stroke Association, Brain Injury Association and other groups whose mission is to deal with memory disorders are invited to participate by offering supportive relationships to those visiting Leeza's Place.
